Hadi Alizadeh & Alamto
The band “Alamto” by drum virtuoso Hadi Alizadeh (Artist of the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region 2020, best instrumentalist at the Val Tidone Festival 2011, first prize at the Creole World Music Festival in Nuremberg 2017) takes you on a journey through varied original compositions, sometimes quiet, dreamy and floating, sometimes rhythmic, lively and rousing, always in a lively and exciting dialogue between the musicians.
Iranian-born Hadi Alizadeh has lived in Nuremberg since 2012 and is considered one of the most important instrumentalists for tonbak and daf - the central drum instruments of traditional Persian folk music.
The award-winning and fascinating goblet and frame drummer Hadi Alizadeh and his band Alamto unfold his musical visions and symbioses at their most intense! Their combination of jazz and classical music with oriental sounds from elements of Persian and Kurdish folk music is nothing less than an acoustic work of art.
The musical ideas are complex, the rhythms unusual and fascinating, and together with the different styles and cultural backgrounds of the musicians, a completely new, literally unheard-of world of sound is created here: loud and quiet, floating and rhythmic, dreamy and lively. The improvisations and dialogues are as playful as they are complex, and there is nothing better than letting them enliven your senses in a room full of intercultural peculiarities
